Description from the creator

In this video, we take an in-depth look at how to convert a broken, original Nintendo DS into a Game Boy Macro XL!

We tackled creating a Game Boy Macro in a previous video. But the Macro has some shortcomings... primarily the fact that a Game Boy Advance cartridge sticks out the bottom of the shell. The Macro XL, on the other hand, solves this by having the cartridge slot recessed a bit more. Additionally, it has a slightly bigger grip for larger hands.

As with the original Game Boy Macro video we did, this video will only cover the steps necessary to create the Game Boy Macro XL. It doesn't cover any follow-on steps of doing body work to the console to fully finish it (things like bondo-ing the stylus hole and hinge holes, providing a better mount for the speaker, etc). That video will be in a follow-up video sometime in the near future.
