Description from the creator

**Update** Lots of people asking how to make the © symbol. On a Mac, hold the Alt (option) key and press G. With Windows, hold the Alt key, then press 0169 (one at a time, in that order, while keeping the Alt key pressed the whole time). You can also copy and paste a © (← like that one) into GIMP. Hope that helps!

How to use GIMP (2.6.11) to add a watermark to your digital images.

GIMP book for beginners here: HowToGIMP.com/gimp-book

My GIMP book has a tutorial for a different kind of watermark. (Works in GIMP 2.6 and GIMP 2.8) I show you how to use GIMP brushes to create a frosted glass effect on your pictures, similar to this: how-to-gimp.com/home/wp-content/uploads/2013/03…

Thinking about using GIMP 2.8? Check out my video overview of the changes to GIMP 2.8 here: youtu.be/BqC9AHLPl9o It should hep you adapt this tutorial to use with GIMP 2.8
