Sew and knit a handmade S.P.E.W. badge for your Hermione Granger Halloween costume! Read this video description for materials, knitting pattern, and links to sewing and knitting tutorials.

Materials needed:
-red and yellow felt
-red and yellow embroidery floss
-matching yellow yarn and knitting needles OR other fabric cut down to the same sort of arrow/upside down house shape
-scissors
-embroidery needle
-safety pin with a flat back (I got mine in the jewelry section at Michael's)
-regular sewing thread or glue

Knitting pattern:

CO 7 sts.
Row 1 (RS): Knit.
Row 2 (WS): Purl.
Row 3: Knit.
Row 4: Purl.
Row 5: Knit.
Row 6: P2tog, P3, P2tog.
Row 7: K2tog, K1, K2tog.
Row 8: P2tog, P1.
Row 9: K2tog.
Cast off.
