You can add a signature in a word doc on Mac in under a minute. The only thing is, you have to use the preview app to create your signature first. Then you can easily add it to work.

Preview allows using your trackpad or your camera to create a signature.

Then save the document as a PNG. Once you have it, you can use the insert toolbar in Word to add it and resize it as needed.
