Arm knitting a blanket for beginners is a good place to start if you’re brand new. It’s fast and easy and you can have a very good sized blanket finished within an hour or two!

CAST ON - 00:38
ROW 1 – 01:37
TURNING STITCHES – 03:28
ROW 2 – 04:08
ROW 3 – 06.02
ROW 4 – 07:26
YOU KNIT THE REST!
CAST OFF – 08:36
WEAVING IN TAIL – 10:48
COMMENTING AND SHARING is CARING - 11:34

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 3 kgs (6.6 lbs) of lightly felted wool roving or about 150 meters of yarn (if you’re using more than one strand of yarn you’ll need 150 meters per strand)
- A bag, scarf or string to transfer the extra stitches to
- Your ARMS!!!

INSTRUCTIONS
Cast on 18 stitches. Pull on more loop through the last chain loop and pop it on your arm, this is the first stitch for the next row. Make sure you have the back side of the chain facing you (the side with the little dashes in the middle of each chain stitch) pull your yarn through each dash to form a loop and put it on your arm. Make sure you’re putting your hand through the back of the loop to the front so they lay the correct direction.

Once you’ve put loops through all the dashes turn all the stitches so the dash side of the blanket is facing away from you and the V or Braid side of the blanket is facing you. Knit all stitches through the back loop, but take care to slip the first stitch in every row without knitting it. This creates a nice smooth decorative edge.
When you have only enough yarn for one final row cast off.
You should have a beautiful soft fluffy blanket!!!
