Description from the creator

In this tutorial, you will learn How to Backup and Restore Bookmarks in Firefox. Since Mozilla released the all new redesigned Firefox Quantum browser, there have been a lot of changes to the user-interface. In this video, I will show you how to backup your bookmarks.

Backing up your bookmarks can be critical, especially if you’ve bookmarked many webpages like me. In case your computer crashes and you need to reinstall Firefox or if you get a new computer, you will have to restore your bookmarks. In this tutorial, I will also show you how to use your backed up bookmark JSON file to restore your bookmarks and save you a lot of time.

In order to backup your Firefox Bookmarks: (1) you click on the Bookmarks icon, in the toolbar; (2) next you choose “Show All Bookmarks”; (3) you will then see a Library dialog-box pop-up, click on “Import and Backup”; (4) next, choose “Backup”; (5) and finally save the JSON Bookmarks file.

In order to restore the JSON Bookmarks backup: (1) follow steps 1 through 3 above; (2) next choose “Restore”; (3) navigate to the location where you saved your JSON Bookmarks backup, and select it; (5) you will get a warning message indicating that this will replace all your current Bookmarks, click OK.

And that’s pretty much it. Feel free to check my Firefox Review videos and other Firefox Tutorials below.
