How to Build a DIY Bat House - DIY Crafts - Thrift Diving

The Home Depot and ScienceFairCentral.com challenged my kids and me to build a DIY bat house for our backyard! It's not often I get to build with my kids, and because we have so many mosquitoes (bats are a natural predator to mosquitos), I was excited to build this project using the instructions from Science Fair Central.

We weren't able to hang the bat house on the side of the house 12-15 feet high because our ladder doesn't extend that far, so we will have to hire someone to come and install it. Hopefully, next spring, the bats will discover it! For now, it looks great!
