How to clean silver at home is a question many people ask. I have seen many different methods for cleaning and polishing silver or silver plated items. Some of the most popular include baking soda, vinegar and even peroxide. One of the more interesting ways I have seen to clean silver is with Ketchup. I decided to give it a try in this cleaning experiment. On one side of this silver plate I coated the surface with silver polish, on the other I covered it with Ketchup. This was done to see if one could actually clean silver with Ketchup. As you can see from the video the side with the silver polish simply outperformed the Ketchup. Others have tried to clean silver at h9me using aluminum foil or cleaning silver with toothpaste. Yet, it seems that the best way to clean a product is with the cleaning solution made for that specific job. Let me know in the comments if you have found any other homemade cleaning tips for cleaning and polishing silver.
