Description from the creator

Try a chicken dish braised with beer -- it's easy to make and takes little preparation. Start by making the rub for the chicken, using brown sugar, chili powder, salt, ground black pepper, and crushed red pepper. Rub this onto the chicken thighs, and let it sit for at least 10 minutes. In an extra large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken to the hot oil and cook until it's well browned. Once the chicken is done, reserve about a tablespoon of fat. Turn the skillet to the heat, and add sliced onions, chopped celery, and a few carrots. Next, add flour, brown ale, and chicken broth. Bring the vegetables to a simmer and bring back the chicken to the skillet. Cover the skillet and put it in the oven for about 30 minutes.
