Description from the creator

The crochet pattern used for this cute crocheted owl is by Ana Clerc, and can be found on Ravelry at ravelry.com/patterns/library/owls-two-ways-croc…

In Part 1 of making an owl, we'll cover the magic circle, and how to use increases to keep your spiral flat. The flat spiral is something you can use in many projects like hats, bags, rugs, and amigurumi.

They are cute, quick to make, and a very simple design that is versatile as far as size, color, and versatility of style. They make GREAT GIFTS!

For the original pattern by Ana Clerc, please see: ravelry.com/patterns/library/owls-two-ways-croc…

The owl's face can be done so many different ways - needle-felted, craft felt, buttons, embroidery, layers, etc. I used some wonderful leather buttons from lotsofbuttons.com - don't you love them? I have yet to use fabric on them, but I might give it a try!

This is definitely a beginner crochet project, so please give it a try!
