How to Deactivate and Delete Facebook Account (on PC, iPhone/iPad and Android)

In this tutorial, you are going to learn how to deactivate and delete your Facebook account on PC, iPhone/iPad and Android phones.
The steps shown in this tutorial also applies to the iPhone/iPad and Android users by using Safari/Google Chrome. On Facebook app, it's not possible.
Had enough of your Facebook account? Or are you fed up of it? Follow these steps to deactivate or delete your Facebook account.
Instead of deleting your Facebook account, you can also deactivate your account. So I'm first showing you how to deactivate it.
1. Click/tap on the down arrow located at the upper right corner of the Facebook account, which you normally click/tap on it to logout of your Facebook account. From the sub-menu that appears, click/tap on "Settings".
2. In the left pane, click/tap on "Security". From the "Security Settings" page, click/tap on "Deactivate Your Account". It will be expanded and click/tap on the "Deactivate Your Account" link.
3. On the new loaded page, select the reason for deactivating your account.
4. Click/tap on the "Deactivate" button. After clicking/tapping on "Deactivate" button, your account will be deactivated. But if you will again login to your Facebook account, your account will then be once again activated.
5. Now I will teach you how you can delete your Facebook account. Before deleting your Facebook account, it is highly recommended that you download all your Facebook data. So first follow the steps to download it. For this, repeat the same step as explained in step 1.
6. From the "General Account Settings" page, click/tap on "Download a copy" link.
7. In the new loaded page, click/tap on "Start My Archive" button. The "Request My Download" box will appear, and again click/tap on "Start My Archive" button. Click/tap on OK.
8. Now open your mail account to download your Facebook data. Open the mail from Facebook saying your Facebook data is ready to download. Click/tap on the Facebook data link to begin the download process.
9. Return to the Facebook tab. Here click/tap on "Download Archive" button.
10. Enter your Facebook password and hit "Submit" to begin the download process. Your Facebook data will be downloaded in a zip file.
11. Now you have downloaded your Facebook data, so you can delete your Facebook account. Go to facebook.com/help/delete_account.
12. In this page, click/tap on "Delete My Account" button.
13. In the "Permanently Delete Account" box enter your Facebook password and select the all the photos which show a wristwatch.
14. When done, click/tap on the OK button.
Your Facebook account will then be deactivated and will be permanently deleted within 14 days. If you login to your account within the next 14 days, you will have the option to cancel your request.
Congratulations, you have now learned how you can deactivate + delete your own Facebook account.
