Deadheading or summer pruning roses is easy. The reason we deadhead roses is to promote more flowers and a better second flush of flowers and the time from deadheading to re flowering, or new blooms will be from 3 - 6 weeks, depending on climate and the time of the year.

Always prune back to a just above a leaf node. Prune back to a strong stem and prune back to a leaf with 5 leaflets.

If pruned immediately after the flower fades you should have new roses in around 3 - 5 weeks, depending on the climate and the season.

In this video we show you how to quickly dead head your own roses.
