Description from the creator

In this tutorial you will learn how to delete all contacts on your iPhone running on iOS 7 at once.

Sometimes you just need to clean your iPhone's entire contact list at once. Such cases happen more often than people think: from selling your iPhone or giving it away to your grandpa to moving to China and starting your whole life from a new chapter.

Depending on your particular case, there are different methods of contact deletion. Before we take a look at each of them, let us give you a good advice: deleting your whole contact list is permanent and cannot be restored. It's better to make a backup of your contacts and, in some cases, your whole iPhone data. We explain how to do it in our tutorial named: "How to Backup iPhone with iTunes."

Let's take a look now at the most radical way of contact deletion: drowning your iPhone. Ok, kidding.

Step 1. Method 1:
The most radical way of deleting all your contacts is restoring your iPhone to factory settings. Simply launch „Settings" from your home screen menu and tap „General".

Step 2. Now scroll to the bottom of General view until you see „Reset". Tap it.

Step 3. Tap „Erase all Content and Settings".

Step 4. If you have set a password to your iPhone, the app will ask you to enter you password first and then confirm your reset one more time. Are you still sure you want to do it? It will remove all your music, photos, settings and everything you have customized for yourself!
However, if your iPhone is going to be sold, that's the quickest working solution. Restoring iPhone to factory settings usually also helps if your iPhone has serious software conflict problems.

Step 5. Method 2:

One of the easiest ways to delete all contacts on iPhone without deleting other data works by connecting your both iPhone and Mac to one iCloud account. On your Mac, open the Contacts app found in "Applications". In older versions of OS X it will be named "Address Book"

Step 6. Hit "Command+A" to Select All, then either hit the Delete key or pull down the Edit menu and choose "Delete Cards".

Step 7. Confirm that you want to delete the selected cards by clicking "Delete".

Because the Contacts app on the Mac syncs to iCloud, all of the contacts that you have removed in OS X will be deleted on your iPhone almost instantly. Be absolutely certain that you want to truly remove everything or else you will irreversibly lose all names, phone numbers, and data.
Step 8. A last tip that we want to give: if you have all your contacts imported from say, your mail account, you can simply disable that mail account in "Settings" app which leads to almost blank contact list as a result.
There are more ways of achieving this, usually via third-party applications, some of them free and some of them paid. Feel free to explore additional ways of achieving these results or use our methods and solutions.

Result: Congratulations ! You've just learned how to delete all your contacts on iPhone at once.
