There are many reasons for deleting your Hotmail account. You could be using a new Outlook account. Or you wish to close the old Hotmail account for plenty of reason.

Make sure you sign into your Hotmail account at Outlook.com. Then, click on your profile picture to access the My Account menu. It will open up a new tab where your Hotmail account details load. If you have problems loading the page, just click this link - accounts.microsoft.com/security.

From there, you can find the More Security Options link. Eventually, logging in will lead to the Close your account link. Then, choose to permanently delete Hotmail account.
