How to Disable Focused Inbox in Outlook Mail

In this tutorial, you will learn How to Disable Focused Inbox in Outlook Mail. Microsoft introduced a feature called Focused Inbox in Outlook Mail that is meant to help de-clutter your inbox. This feature can be useful if you want to separate your incoming mail and focus on the email messages that are important to you.

Essentially, this feature splits up your inbox into two categories: Focused and Other. If you’re not used to this feature, you may find yourself missing new emails. I personally, don’t find the Focused Inbox feature very useful and have disabled it.

In order to turn off Focused Inbox, you have to go to the SETTINGS section (the gear icon in the top-right corner) and then choose OPTIONS. Under the \Mail\Layout category you will find a link for Focused Inbox. If you click on it, it will give you an option “Don’t Sort Messages”. You can choose this option and save your settings.
