Description from the creator

Brontosaurus excelsus, one of the most famous dinosaurs known. However, the name got shoved aside because Brontosaurus didn't differ enough from Apatosaurus to be its own genus, thus Apatosaurus excelsus it was called since then.
But... in 2015 a new study was done to compare all Apatosaurus species with each other and the result was surprising: now that so many specimens were known, it appeared there were enough differences between the good old Bronto and Apato so the genus got revived. Brontosaurus now consists out of three species, namely B. excelsus, B. parvus and B. yahnahpin.

A note about those keratinous spikes at the bottom of the neck:
Apatosaurines have weird neck vertebrae. The ribs on these vertebrae have large bosses which look very club-like. No other sauropod family or subfamily has this.
The hypothesis behind this weird feature is that, because Apatosaurines have huge (as in: broad and thick) necks already in contrary to the more slender Diplodocids for example, these animals used their necks to slam each other with in intraspecific fights. That these bosses could've supported keratinous spikes makes the thought of it all the more terrifying...

I don't own any of the music used!
