Today's video is the 1st part (1st episode) of a map making tutorial using traditional art techniques and materials. This is an old sea map inspired by Spikeroog and Undvik islands from Skellige ( the Witcher 3 Wild Hunt game). I wanted to give it an aged look that reminds of old cloth maps, pirate treasures, great voyages and adventure novels.

Watch and learn how to draw islands, mountain chains, lakes, trees, the sea, buildings & houses etc. step by step. You will learn how to draw and paint a fantasy map with watercolor pencils, colored pencils, brush pens and ink.

The 1st part shows the whole process of creating small islands and the sea from start to finish. The next video will show how to draw a wooden frame and larger island.
