You can use this keyframe animation trick in Premiere Pro or After Effects, to add some movement to your footage, to fix bad footage, and to help with bad acting of fight scene performance!
WATCH THE VIDEO, but here are some Main Takeaways:
- Learn keyboard shortcuts to move around the timeline quickly
- Learn how to set, clear, and move keyframes
- Use both position, scale, and sometimes rotation keyframes to add movement
- Use the least amount of zoom to achieve your desired effect (you don't want your fight scene footage to start looking grainy in the edit)
- If you filmed in 4k, and you're editing in a 1080 timeline, then you don't have to worry about zooming too much!
- When keyframing your footage, think about the natural camera movement that you would be doing if you were really there..
- This means that you should add natural "carry over" to the motions you create with the position keyframes, and really analyze your footage so when you add the artificial motion, it will blend in with the natural motion already there.
GOOD LUCK, and LMK if this helped you guys!!
