This video helps increasing the RAM for Android Studio to hold multiple(huge) processes for the Processor/CPU to process them.

BUT be sure that increasing the RAM won't help you if your CPU is of lower speed. For CPU less than Corei5, you should not have a RAM more than 1.5GB

Note: Increasing RAM not necessarily speeds up the processing. RAM just stacks up a pile of processes to get them processed by the CPU/processor
