This will work for sodas of all kinds not just mountain dew.
IMPORTANT NOTE. The time span of 3 hours isn't exact because all freezers are different so it will either be 15 minutes before 3 hours point or after. Somewhere around there you will find the soft spot for your freezer so it make take more than a few attempts to get it perfect.
