There are several methods of connection:

- The discs are secured with cotter pins or t-pins. Or...
- They are connected using a slot-head screw, washers and a locknut.

Small and mini bears take a cotter pin or t-pin. The screw/washer/locknut combo can give a firmer and tighter fit to the discs. It is a matter of personal choice. Most of our medium to larger bears use the screw/washer/locknut combo with a cotter pin or t-pin for the head to body connection.

Tip 1: Always ensure that whichever method your use, they have a tight and secure fit before adding the filling, as once the filling is added, they tend to loosen a little.

Tip 2: You can partially fill the legs up to the 'knees' and the arms up to the 'elbows' before adding the discs and hardware.
