Description from the creator

There are multiple ways you can create a background image for your audiogram

If you are well-versed in Photoshop or Illustrator, then it shouldn't be a problem. But if you're someone who is brand new to the game of developing a background image, then today's video will help.

Audiogram background images have significantly evolved over the past couple of years since their introduction into the marketplace. However, the general idea of an audiogram is having an image that is captivating enough to draw the attention of someone who is scrolling through a Twitter, Facebook or Instagram timeline.

Still, the basic idea remains with audiograms:

Choose an image that draws curiosity and structure it so that it can be transformed to have people drawn into the image before they scroll past it. There should be space for you to place captions in the audiogram so someone is more likely to tap on the audiogram and listen to the entire clip.

HOW TO COLLECT PHOTOS:
Before you start collecting photos, do yourself the favor and ask your guest if they can send you some photos you can use of them to promote the podcast.

To avoid emails going back and forth, you can create a Google Form that collects information from your guest--including photos.

Guest Information Forms are a great way to for the podcaster to have collect pre-interview questions and kill many birds with one stone. Plus, when you collect photos, they are all organized in a specific folder inside of your Google Drive.

If you don't have a guest on your podcast and the clip you have chosen is centered around an idea, it might be best to use STOCK PHOTOS.

In the video, you will hear me talk about the importance behind getting permission to use certain images. It's never a good idea to rip images off Google if you don't have permission. You'll see me talk about the costly choice I made when I did this early in my career.

So as a solution, you can grab your stock photos from Canva.com for either free or $1. It's very affordable and a better option for you.

CANVA TUTORIAL:
As you jump further in this video, I will show you how to use Canva. Some of the things I will talk about will be:
• Using a combination of Canva 1.0 ro 2.0
• Adjusting background colors
• Importing images, logos, etc.
• Simple cropping features
• My personal work philosophy of how I create an audiogram.

I hope you enjoy this video and find it helpful in the process of creating your audiogram from your podcast clips.
