How to Make Decadent Chocolate Cake

How to Make Decadent Chocolate Cake - Serves 16

Ingredients:
a) Chocolate Cake
1 3/4 c plain flour
3/4 c cocoa powder
1 c white sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
2 eggs
1 c sour cream
3/4 c oil
2 tsp vanilla essence
2 tbsp white vinegar
200ml hot water

b) Chocolate Glazing
2 tbsp butter
350ml whipping cream
1 can lite condensed milk
1/2 c cocoa powder
2 tsp vanilla essence

Directions:
1) Pre-heat oven to 175deg Celsius.
2) Make the chocolate cake by combining all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Mix well then set aside.
3) In a separate bowl, combine all wet ingredients except the hot water. Mix well.
4) Add in the wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients. Mix well.
5) Add in the hot water and mix until fully incorporated.
6) Pour the cake batter into a 9"x12" aluminium pan and bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes ur until a toothpick inserted in the centre of the cake comes out semi-clean (with a small amount of cake sticking into the toothpick).
7) Meanwhile, prepare the chocolate glazing by pre-heating a pan to low-medium setting.
8) Add in the butter and melt.
9) Once the butter is melted, pour in the whipping cream. Stir.
10) Add in the condensed milk and stir until fully incorporated. Continue stirring to avoid burning the mixture.
11) Carefully add in the cocoa powder in small amounts and stir thoroughly.
12) Once all cocoa has been added, you may use a whisk to stir the mixture to fully dissolve the cocoa powder. Continue stirring until the mixture turns into a rich chocolatey texture (the longer the simmer, the thicker the glaze).
13) Take the cake from the oven and pour the glazing on top of the cake, spreading evenly.
14) Let it cool before serving. Enjoy :)
