How to Make Gel Food for Goldfish

► Ingredients
+ 1 cup cold water
+ Packet of sugar-free plain gelatin
+ 2.5 oz container of baby food, preferably peas, carrots, or green beans ✔

► Goldfish cannot thrive on fish flakes alone. They require a varied diet including live food and vegetables. A simple, effective option many fish keepers use is to prepare gel food. The wonderful thing is that you can try different varieties and customize the recipe to include veggies your fish loves. This recipe is highly adaptable to many kinds of fish, such as livebearers. ► Tips
+ Let the food totally solidify before feeding, and cut it into sizes your fish can easily consume.
+ Try using different varieties of baby food to see which your fish prefer.
+ Use ONLY sugar free gelatin
+ Gel food made with agar agar is good for fish with swimbladder issues.
+ Only use baby food that is pure vegetable. Alternatively, you could puree "fish safe" veggies like lettuce, peas, carrots and broccoli into a smooth blend. Research what foods are good for goldfish before adding it to the mix ✔
