800g plums stoned
200g caster sugar
1 fresh vanilla pod
1.5l vodka
2l kilner jar
Small kilner bottles
Makes approximately 1.2l - Preparation time 5 minutes plus 2 months seeping
This delightful drink makes a special Christmas present from autumnal garden fruits. The seeped vodka turns a a lovely tint of red just in time for Christmas. Once strained I used the left over plums in a Christmas pudding.
