How to Make Yerba Mate (USA Style)

Fastest and Easiest way to brew a fresh cup of Yerba Mate, tea style as opposed to gourd style; cocido style means 'cooked' and is usually done in a pot with milk and sugar added.
1. "Wake up" Mate with COLD water. (~1 Minute)
2. Pour in Hot Water (150F - 170F), NOT Boiling.
3. Steep and Re-steep gently in French Press for no longer than a few minutes. Longer or more vigorous mixing may result in more tannins released (more bitterness)
