Description from the creator

Hey guys! I want to show you how to make your own fruit and vegetable wash to keep your fruits and vegetables squeaky clean!

Store bought veggie cleaners can be pricey for small bottles and you don't really know everything that's in them! So make your own!

ALL FRUITS AND VEGGIES NEED TO BE WASHED. Organic and conventional fruits need to be washed and scrubbed before eating and juicing. Organic veggies have dirt on them, have been handled, and may even have organic pesticides. Conventional fruits have been sprayed with traditional pesticides that you definitely don't want to ingest.

This cleaning method will help remove and neutralize dirt and pesticides. So if you are on a budget and must buy conventional, this cleaning trick is a must!

Here's what you will need for this Vinegar, Salt and Lemon wash solution:

1/4 Cup Raw Apple Cider Vinegar (but distilled white can be used)
2 Tablespoons of salt (I use Celtic or Himalayan, but table salt can be used)
1/2 of a squeezed lemon

Here's what you do:

1. I put the produce in the sink and cover them with cold water

2. Add vinegar. Vinegar cleans the fruits and vegetables and neutralizes most pesticides

3. Add salt Salt draws out dirt and insects which is a must for leafy greens and beets!

4. Add lemon juice. Lemon juice is a natural disinfectant

I let the produce sit in the water for at least 5 minutes and the scrub them with my produce brush, drain the water and rinse again.

Here's a Quick tip to keep your berries from molding so quickly a quick vinegar and water rinse will preserve them and let them last longer.

Dry your produce well especially leafy greens and store in its proper place! That's it. Quick, easy, so stop buying store bought cleaners.
