In this video, I'm going to show you how to correctly part the hair when cutting.

Ensure that the hair is wet through from the roots to the middle of the strands. Take your comb and comb the hair back. I'll show you from the profile too. Comb the hair straight back. Then just push forward and where the hair is supposed to part, it will find its way. That is a really good way to find your natural part, which is always the best way when you're cutting hair and usually suits the client really well.
