This is my quick-and-dirty method for peeling a mango. It works best if you choose a mango that's nice and ripe. A ripe mango has just a little bit of give, if you squeeze it gently. You can let an unripe mango sit out on the kitchen counter to ripen. Just quickly check it once a day until it's ready to peel.
