How to Play Pokemon the Classic Game

► This article will show you how to play the classic Pokémon card game ✔

► Tips
+ Have someone you know is good at this game to help you play this game.
+ Not sure what to take when adding these cards? Try taking out the 2 potions cards, or maybe an Energy search card, to keep your deck at 60 cards.
+ When the game starts, it's common courtesy to give your opponent a chance to shuffle your deck for you.
+ If you take some time off from the game after being very competitive, it is harder to get back into it. Cards and sets rotate out of the current game-play sets. The other sets are no longer legal. This means you can no longer use them in tournament game-play. Another reason it is hard to get back into it is because new cards come out. If you come back and your opponent is playing cards you have never seen before, chances are a new set has come out. You will now need to learn what all of the new cards do. If you want to stay with the game, don't take long breaks, take short breaks and figure out when the release of the new sets are. Start getting back into it before each new set comes out, and you shouldn't have a problem.
+ Some attacks require specific types of energy while other attacks can use any type of energy.
+ Most trainer cards have an immediate effect and then go to the discard pile.
+ Remember to start off the game by drawing a card after you have your seven deck of cards
+ Some attacks may require more energy. You can tell by how many symbols is on the card.
+ Try storing some of your items like in a small backpack.
+ Need advice on what card to swap out? Try taking out a potion card and an energy card to keep your deck at 60 cards ✔
