Description from the creator

If you've ever wanted a smooth, flat and perfectly prepared surface to paint on then this is the video for you! This technique is perfect for painting or drawing on wood, masonite or canvas. Follow me on Insty: instagram.com/fieldey/ and sign-up to my MadSkillz MasterClub newsletter: fieldey.com/madskillz-masterclub.html and get ready to take your art to the next level!

We'll be using a product called gesso - a slightly gritty surface preparation product that can be applied with a brush. After the first coat of gesso dries, we'll be sanding it back to smooth with 240 grit sandpaper and then doing 2 more coats of gesso, finishing up with a super smooth, paint-friendly surface.
