HOW TO PRICE ITINERARY WITH AMADEUS BEST PRICER

How to Price Itineraries in Amadeus: Best Buy Explained!
Are you struggling to price itineraries efficiently in Amadeus? In this comprehensive tutorial, we dive deep into Amadeus Best Buy pricing commands (FXB, FXA, FXR, and FXL) to help you find the best available fares, reprice tickets, and maximize cost-effectiveness for your clients.

Amadeus Best Pricer returns the lowest applicable and available fare for flights booked in a PNR by changing the booking code.

Amadeus Best Pricer automates the search for the cheapest flights, by integrating flight availability and pricing in the same process.

The re-booking functionality allows you to book the lowest fare returned by Best Pricer in one single entry.

Amadeus Best Pricer re-books the flight segments using the highest level of access available for the airlines booked in the PNR.

You can use the following Best Pricer entries to search for lower fares:
FXB: Re-book to the lowest available fare and create a TST
FXR: Re-book to the lowest available fare without TST creation
FXA/FXD: Display a list of lower available fares
FXU : Select a fare after FXA/FXD, rebook and create a TST
FXZ: Select a fare after FXA/FXD and rebook without TST creation
FXL: Display the lowest possible fare and advise about seat availability

Conditions and restrictions:
The following conditions and restrictions apply to Best Pricer:
* For round trip and circle trip itineraries, you can price a maximum of 12 flight segments, or 10 flight segments and 2 surface segments with a maximum of 8 fare break points

* Best Pricer applies the standard pricing rules including the precedence of carrier fares over YY fares

* Best Pricer can process different discounts and passenger types within a PNR, provided that passengers are booked in the same class. If the passengers have to be booked in different booking classes to qualify for the lowest fare, Best Pricer will recommend splitting the PNR

* You can use Best Pricer entries FXA, FXL and FXR without names in the PNR

* You can use Best Pricer on a PNR containing married segments, but they must not be separated (by segment selection). However, rebooking will only occur if the airline allows married segments to be rebooked

* You cannot perform Best Pricer by passenger: if you need to passenger select to enter discounts, select all passengers

* You cannot use Best Pricer for open or passive flight segments

* You cannot use Best Pricer for PNRs with more than 9 passengers, or for non-homogeneous PNRs

* You cannot apply Best Pricer on a PNR with a passenger occupying more than one seat (stretcher, extra seat, cabin baggage)

* You cannot apply Best Pricer on a PNR with an unaccompanied minor
