Cherry season is here! :) I use this quick & easy recipe to clean most of my produce and I love it for cleaning cherries, etc. I call baking soda my kitchen ajax, and white distilled vinegar my kitchen bleach, ;) of course without the chemicals! This powerful solution cleans, deodorizes, sanitizes, etc., and causes everything to sparkle with a squeaky clean feeling! Adding vinegar enhances all of those wonderful benefits of the baking soda.

*Vinegar is a natural way to tackle household bacteria, like salmonella, E. coli and other "gram-negative" bacteria. It's also great for cutting greasy substances such as food grade wax that is on most non organic produce. Apple cider vinegar includes the same household cleaning uses except that it's believed to have many health benefits as a folk remedy.
