Description from the creator

If you are locked out of your iPhone, you'll need to enter recovery mode and restore your device to factory settings.

If you've backed up your phone, you can restore it from that backup.
Backups can be from your iCloud or your computer, depending on which one you had set up.

You'll need access to a computer, Mac or PC and your cable to connect to the computer.

Step 1: Turn off your iPhone.

Step 2: Put your iPhone into recovery mode. On iPhone 8, X, or later, you can do this by holding the side button and then connecting your device to the computer with the lightning cable.
On iPhone 7, you'll hold down the volume down button while connecting the cable.
On iPhone 6 or earlier, you'll hold the home bottom while turning off the device.

Step 3: Now on your computer, you should see a pop-up screen asking you to restore your iPhone. This will erase everything. But as long as you have a backup, you can restore all your information.

Remember to keep your iPhone plugged in during the entire process.
If your iPhone exits recovery mode, you'll need to repeat this process.
