How to Screen Record with Internal Audio on QuickTime Player | BlackHole Tutorial on Mac

Here is an update on how to record internal sound (+ Mic) on QuickTime Player (Mac). This setup should work on MacOS Catalina and Newer.

Install it. Restart your computer if necessary.

Audio Midi Setup Settings (You should see Blackhole 16ch installed):

1. Create Aggregate Device, rename it "QuickTime Player Input", make sure the "BlackHole 16ch" is checked. (If you prefer including your built-in mic sound, then make sure "Built-in Mic" is checked.

2. Create Multi-Output Device, rename it "Screen Record w/ Audio", make sure "BlackHole 16ch" is checked as well as 'Build-in Output", you can listen to it on your phone or speaker.

3. Lastly, go to Settings - Sound, Output should be "Screen Record w/ Audio" (created on step 2)

4. Open QuickTime Player - File - New Screen Recording - Options - Click "QuickTime Player Input" - Record
