Here are some tips for staying sober during the holidays:
1. Plan ahead: If you know that you'll be attending events where alcohol will be served, think about how you'll handle the situation. You might consider bringing a non-alcoholic drink with you or agreeing to be the designated driver.
2. Set limits for yourself: Decide in advance how much (if any) alcohol you're comfortable consuming and stick to that limit.
3. Surround yourself with supportive people: Seek out friends and family members who support your decision to remain sober and who will help you stay on track.
4. Find alternative ways to have fun: There are many ways to have a good time without alcohol, such as playing games, going for a walk or hike, or dancing.
5. Take care of yourself: Pay attention to your physical and emotional well-being during the holidays. Make sure to get enough sleep, eat well, and take time to relax and recharge.
6. Seek support: If you're struggling to stay sober or if you're feeling overwhelmed, don't be afraid to reach out for help. You can talk to a trusted friend or family member, or seek support from a professional, such as a therapist or a support group.
