Welcome back everyone! Today's video is about how to take your contacts out. I know that some people may still struggle with putting contacts in and taking them out. But, today I am going to help make it really simple for you. This video about taking your contacts out/putting your contacts in is perfect for beginners, it is super easy. In the beginning, putting contact lenses in and taking them out will be alittle challenging, but after lots of practice (and putting them in as well as taking them out frequently) you will be a PRO! Here are some tips that you can keep in mind when putting contacts in and taking your contacts out.

STEP #1: Wash yo' hands! I discussed the importance of this in a previous video and I will mention it again. Your hands carry lots of bacteria and dirt throughout the day; you need to make sure when you are handling your contacts, your hands are clean. Also, be careful if you are using a towel since towels carry little pieces of lint which can transfer onto your hands and then your contacts. It has happened to me a few times and that's why I know lol.....

STEP #2: After washing and drying your hands, hold the lenses with the correct side up and stretch your eyes as big as you can. I'm going to demonstrate here with clean hands. Stretch your eyes as big as you can & then using your index finger andthumb finger, hold the skin around your eye open.

STEP #3: Place the contact on your eye gently. If it doesn't feel right, then take the contact out and look to see what may be on the lense. Use cleaning solution to clean it and then try again. If the irritability continues, then take the contact out and clean it. DO NOT just keep the contact in; it will keep irritating you and who wants to go through the day feeling like a rock is in your eye??? No one! Once your lenses are in properly, then you are good to go!

Now as for taking the contacts out......

STEP #1: Wash your hands thoroughly and open your eyes as big as you can, again. Using your index finger and thumb, hold the skin back so that you can see the contact lense.

STEP #2: Gently, take the contact out with the opposite hand. I like to use my index finger and my thumb since it is easiest for me. I squeeze the lense out gently and clean it. I use the solution for about 5 seconds on each eye. Then I put it in the lense case.

......thats it! It is pretty easy once you do it often and have been doing it for the past 10 years. Make sure to wash your hands afterwards; leave your lenses to clean for atleast 8 hours since that is what's recommended. Here's some tips:

TIP #1: If you want to use tools that are designed to put lenses in/take lenses out, that is up to you. I personally don't use them since I dont like sharp objects that close to my eyes. But, do what is best for you!

TIP #2: Practice makes perfect! The more you practice, the better you will get; you will also be much more efficient and quicker at putting lenses in/taking them out. Put them in and take them out a few times & you will get used to it, I promise.
