This is a how to video to solve the issues when replacing the radio in some VW vehicles that are equipped with a factory Monsoon system. Some of the newer ones you can by harnesses for but the older ones only turn on and off by reading voltage on the speaker inputs. When you take out the factory radio sometimes the amp will remain on even if the aftermarket radio and car are turned off. It will draw roughly over 1A of current which will cause the battery to drain and not start the car. Using a relay we can interrupt the constant power supply to the amp allowing the aftermarket radio to power the amp off, and fix the issues of draining batteries.
