Setting up the Steam Duet for its first use is easy, simply follow the steps below to get going:

1. Make sure the iron is off and completely cooled down.
2. Remove the water tank and set aside.
3. Turn the machine on its side to reach the cartridge.
4. Slide the new cartridge into position.
5. Lock the clips of the new cartridge to secure in place.
6. Turn the unit back upright an hold the 'On' button for 5 seconds
8. Hold the steam wand over a sink for a minute and a half to allow the steam to flow through.
