How to wash a GORE-TEX jacket (or any other waterproof jacket)

Learn in three quick steps how to wash a GORE-TEX jacket or any other waterproof jacket for that matter. Knowing how to wash a GORE-TEX jacket is a crucial skill that you will use time and again to keep your gear running longer and working better!

After I first learned how to wash a GORE-TEX jacket I was hooked on the improved functionality and I continue to wash my jackets multiple times a year.

What do you need (step 0): 0:18
Wash (step 1): 0:55
Waterproof (Step 2a, wash-in): 1:41
Waterproof (Step 2b, spray-on): 2:25
Dry (step 3): 2:48

Keep in mind you can use either the wash-in or the spray-on coating. Using both is not necessary.
