POV Skate Tutorial #18: How to NOSE MANUAL
ChannelSkateboard BruhDescription from the creator
This tutorial will teach you how to nose manual in no-time! I’m teaching you how to nose manual from your point of view!
The nose manual is a cool trick and I think it’s a lot of fun, manuals in general are a lot of fun and that’s because it requires some serious balance. It’s also a long trick, depends on how long you wanna do it of course but in general it’s longer than just a flatground trick and that’s why it’s extra fun.
So for the foot-positioning, place your front foot below the bolts and your back foot on the tail. What might also help you is to lean a little more forward before and when Ollieng because your center of gravity has to be above your wheels when you start doing a manual. And as you know for this trick that’s gonna be your front two wheels.
the movement.
Step 1: Ollie onto the ledge landing with your front wheels. If you’re able to Ollie and you don’t pick a ledge that’s too high, you should be able to get on it easily. The difficult part of the manual is that you wanna land on your front wheels and stay in balance at the same time. The trick here really is to keep your center of gravity above your front wheels. That basically is the trickiest part. A bonus tip is to not ollie a lot higher than the height of the ledge because you wanna aim for a smooth movement so you keep your balance.
Step 2: Ride on your front wheels only. After you land, you wanna make sure to keep your balance so you don’t stop manualing by hitting your nose or getting back on your wheels for example. All this really is is keeping your balance and you can practice this by doing just this on flat aswell. A good tip here is to not get scared of leaning forward too much, yes you will fall if you get stuck on your nose but being scared off it will not help you learn this trick. Falling that way is just progression.
Step 3: Hopping of the edge. When you’re almost at the end of the ledge you wanna jump or bend your knees a little. This way you make a little hop and you should land on the ground with all your four wheels touching at the same time. It feels like a pushing your board in front of you while jumping up a little, like doing a little nollie.
I’m sure you can do it. Just be patient. Work hard. Show some perseverance, fall a lot and you’ll get it!
