Description from the creator

By request from 2 musician friends, here's a tutorial on how to get decent band recordings, even when FOH board audio isn't the best or is unavailable.

I forgot to mention that the Hero2 camera audio is highly compressed. This is by design from the factory. I also forgot to mention that I ran a compression algorithm on the DR-40 track. For drums I use my "rule of 3's" and work from there. My "rule of 3's" is just a starting point:

3:1 Ratio
30ms Attack
300ms Release

This is a good starting point to bring out transients. At first I set the threshold accordingly, and then I'll usually mess with the compression ratio, rarely going over 6:1. In retrospect, I wish I would have allowed you to listen to the uncompressed DR-40 track.
