How to Sing Low Growls: Death Metal Vocal Tutorial

Do you want to sing better ‘low growls’ in your death metal vocals? Try the techniques I’m giving you in this video.

These are singing techniques specific to death metal and melodic death metal style vocals. What I'm showing you will prevent you from damaging your voice singing death metal, as well.

**’Final Reign’ is the song in the video, from my album Masterpeace. You can listen/stream/buy the album here:

Singing death metal, specifically the low growls, has more to do with breathing and air than it does with projecting your voice, or singing loud.

In fact, it's not about singing loud at all. It's more about how you move that air, and I show you exactly how to do that.

In the video, I relate death vocals to a tube amp. When you play guitar through that tube amp, you feel that air push from the speaker.

This is similar to how you'll treat singing death metal. You're using that your breath to push those notes out rather than belting out notes with open vocal cords.

Leave a comment if you have any questions about my death metal vocal techniques! And let me know if you'd like more vocal content on my channel (my channel is primarily for metal guitar players).

Also, please give this video a thumbs up and share it!

Keep it Metal,
Jason
