Planting bulbs in the fall is one of my favorite activities as the weather starts to cool down. It is also one of the most under-rated areas of the garden, in my opinion! I love planting bulbs in the fall because you plant them, then forget about them, and like magic they appear in the spring. The only hard part is the timing, because most people are too busy thinking about cleaning up their summer garden to put the effort into planting as well. Typically 6-8 weeks before freezing temperatures arrive is the time to plant.

In this video I detail how to correctly plant Allium bulbs in the garden for a delightful floral display next spring/summer. In this particular video I am planting Allium 'Globemaster', one of the best cultivars to grow.
