Description from the creator

If you use music or other audio files in your YouTube videos, you must be careful to avoid copyright strikes so YouTube does not take down your video … or even worse, take down your entire channel (after 3-strikes).

Many beginning YouTubers use popular music from their personal audio library or free music downloaded from the internet. Perhaps you think your use falls under a “fair use” exception, since it is in the background or you don’t monetize your channel.

But do you want the drama of having to make a “fair use” legal argument to YouTube?

In this video I share four ways to avoid copyright strikes on your YouTube channel by obtaining music that will either make the YouTube algorithms happy or give you simple argument why you win “fair use.”

00:00 Intro
02:20 1 - Using (Allowed) Popular Music (what happened to me!)
05:14 2 - Using YouTube’s Audio Library - find it in your YouTube Studio
07:10 3 - Using Licensed Music from a subscription database
15:07 4 - Using Your Own Music
