Copyright infringement is on the rise, and images are flying around on social media like crazy... largely due to the fact that people just don't understand copyright law and how it works. It is very important that photographers understand how copyright for photos works. This video goes over who owns copyright, how to manage copyright and how to file a copyright with the U.S. copyright registry, and why it is valuable to do so.

So many photographers are overwhelmed by it all. They see their images being used, and yet they don't know how to manage it, approach it and track it properly... and so the problem continues, and more and more people think it is ok to use imagery freely because nobody is taking the time to explain it to them.
