HOW TO CHOOSE A COLLEGE ROOMMATE!

It is always nice to meet your potential roommate and if this is not possible, just text or snapchat them BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO CHOOSE THEM AS AN ACTUAL ROOMATE!

In this video, I discuss 5 different factors that will allow you to choose a roommate out of many potential candidates.


1. Common Interest: Do you and your potential roommate share any similarities? Any hobbies or activities that you guys think will build a better living space?

2. Dorm Space: How will the dorm be used? Will there be a lot of studying? A lot of partying? Will eating be allowed? Will you and your roommate share items?

3. Who? : Do you want your roommate to be your best friend? Do you want your roommate to be calm and not so involved in your life? What type of roommate are you looking for?

4. Drugs and Alcohol: Do you want to do drugs and alcohol? Does your roommate do any? Do you want a drug or alcohol-free dorm? Do you plan on drinking or doing drugs in college? Will your potential roommate be cool with that? Will you be cool about it?

5. Ideologies: Any ideology or belief that may cause conflict later on? How acceptable can you really be? Will you tolerate opposition? It is up to you!
