Tips
The most important thing is understanding how to shut the water off properly. In fact it is highly advisable that you find the valve to the mains water supply to your flat our house before attempting anything.
The washing machine water pipes can be quite delicate so treat them gently. Do not tug or pull on the pipes as they can easily snap. If you are worried at all please call a plumber.
