HOW TO GET INTO A KENYAN MED SCHOOL

Joining medical school is a dream for many young Kenyans who grow up with the hope of becoming a doctor, and while most of these dreams change, some people remain steadfast.
(Personally, I was one of those kids whose dreams changed every day and night. My goals were as dynamic and colourful as the people I met. Most memorably was becoming a nun, police officer and train driver. I imagined that those positions gave me power, they represented the symbols of authority at that age - Clare)
As we grew up, our parents taught us that our possibilities were endless. We were taught to never accepted any limitations that stood in our way, and to constantly push boundaries. So the dream got bolder and we believed that we could truly be the best version of ourselves and give generously to the world and the people around us. It was then that the dream of becoming doctors would be born. And the vision remained clear, such that by the time we both graduated high school, it was evident that there was nothing else for us out there.
This week's video is for those young people who have arrived at the bus station in their lives. The people that are ready to board this bus that is medical school for the wild, scary and exciting journey.
