Description from the creator

This is how I insert a contact lens into my 5 month old son. He was born with cataracts and needed to have them removed so he wouldn't be blind. The surgery removes the lenses, this is known as aphakia. Since his natural lenses were removed they need to be replaced with contact lenses so he can see.

NOTE: These are not used for cosmetic reasons, they are the preferred treatment for his condition after cataract removal. Without them he would not be able to focus any images. Contacts are needed for early visual development in aphakic babies. They are preferred over glasses.

I hope these videos help other families going through a similar situation gain confidence. Once you become more comfortable with the insertion and removal you will soon realize that it is doable!

REMEMBER: You can do it, be confident in yourself and you will succeed!!!
